Entre la estima y el reproche. La visión de la prensa sevillana acerca de las relaciones entre España e Hispanoamérica (1898-1903)

Las repercusiones en España del llamado “Desastre de 1898” —una guerra colonial e internacional y, para muchos, punto de partida de una generación literaria— fueron muy numerosas; prueba de ello sería la amplia producción bibliográfica realizada al respecto y, también, la generosa publicación de mensajes periodísticos que emprendió la gran mayoría de los diarios peninsulares. Desde este presupuesto, nuestro trabajo tendría como cometido analizar la visión que cuatro destacados rotativos —líderes en la capital andaluza— ofrecieron de esas relaciones entre España e Hispanoamérica durante el tránsito del siglo XIX al XX.
