This paper aims to be a summary-homage to the Anuario de Estudios Americanos on the 75th anniversary of its foundation. It examines the spirit that guided its promoters, in a difficult time, to launch a magazine that hosted the American studies of long tradition in Seville since the previous century and pointed out the main lines of research, as well as the great authors who wrote in your pages. It highlights the names of those who formed the first editorial board and those who held the position of directors or secretaries of the publication, as well as highlighting four great Americanists as an example of all the others.
